Sana’a: Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi has issued a stern warning to Israel, threatening to escalate military attacks following a recent Israeli airstrike that resulted in the deaths of several key figures in the “Houthi government.” Among those killed was the self-declared Prime Minister, Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Houthi acknowledged internal vulnerabilities but assured that security measures were being reinforced to address them. The airstrike on Thursday, which targeted the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, claimed the lives of top security and political officials within the Houthi leadership. Al-Houthi responded with a pledge to intensify missile strikes, drone assaults, and implement a naval blockade as part of the group’s military strategy against Israel.

The Israeli military has confirmed the operation, stating that the airstrikes were aimed at a Houthi military facility. Israeli Channel 12 further reported that the attack specifically targeted prominent leaders of the Houthi movement. The airstrikes occurred on August 28, coinciding with a televised speech by Al-Houthi, during which he reiterated the movement’s unwavering military stance against Israel.
