A statement by Al-Kadhimi’s office, received by NINA, said that during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Iraqi political arena, following up the progress of understandings and rapprochement among the political blocs, the importance of views among the political blocs in the Iraqi scene, and the need to enhance means of understanding, dialogue and points of convergence as the only path; to get out of the current political crisis, as well as the importance of keeping state institutions away from all forms of political conflict.
He continued, the most important developments in the Prime Minister’s initiative for national dialogue were also reviewed, paving the way for the political blocs; To reach national agreements that meet the aspirations of citizens to enhance security and stability throughout Iraq.
