Baghdad / NINA / – Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received today, Tuesday, a phone call from the outgoing Iranian President, Sheikh Hassan Rouhani, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated that the two sides exchanged congratulations and wishes that this blessed occasion would bring the Iraqi and Iranian peoples prosperity, stability, and overcoming difficulties and challenges.

During the call, Al-Kadhimi expressed Iraq’s desire to develop positive relations with all neighboring countries and the region, and to combine efforts to focus on combating the dangers of terrorism.

For his part, President Rouhani affirmed the aspiration of the Iranian government and people to consolidate the relations of joint cooperation between the two countries, and his support for Iraq’s efforts to enhance security and sustainable development to serve all peace-loving brotherly peoples./ End
