Al-Kahraba Triumphs Over Al-Minaa in a Stunning Comeback in Stars League


Baghdad: Al-Kahraba’a rallied from behind to secure a thrilling 2-1 victory against Al-Mina’a in their match today at Al-Zawraa Stadium, as part of the seventh round of the Iraqi Stars League.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mina’a dominated the early stages of the match, applying pressure, maintaining possession, and frequently threatening Al-Kahraba’a’s goal. Their efforts paid off in the 37th minute when Yassin Samia opened the scoring, giving Al-Mina’a a 1-0 lead at halftime.



In the second half, Al-Kahraba intensified their pressure in search of an equalizer, creating several dangerous opportunities, but their players failed to capitalize. Al-Mina’a held onto their lead until the 86th minute when defender Haider Salem scored an own goal, leveling the score for Al-Kahraba.



Al-Kahraba refused to settle for a draw, turning the game around in stoppage time. Hussein Najm headed home the winning goal in the 93rd minute, securing a 2-1 victory for his team. With this result, Al-Minaa’s points tally remains at 8, while Al-Kahraba’s rises to 7.
