Baghdad:According to the National Iraqi News Agency, the heads of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, and the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, have stressed the necessity of completing the formation of the government and strengthening the authority of the state and its institutions.
In a press release from the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, it was highlighted that al-Sudani met with al-Maliki to discuss the evolving political situation in the country and the repercussions of regional escalation.
During their meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of finalizing the government formation, enhancing state authority, completing reconstruction and development projects, and unifying national discourse. They also prioritized dialogue and understanding among political forces to overcome challenges and achieve political stability.
They further stated that the coming phase requires continued cooperation and coordination within the Coordination Framework, prioritizing Iraq’s best interests, and supporting the government to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
The meeting underscored the need for efforts to enhance political and security stability and the importance of unifying visions among the nation’s partners to advance reconstruction and development.
