Baghdad: The Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, met with the Governor of Diyala, Adnan al-Shammari, in Baghdad today. The meeting focused on the general conditions in the Diyala Governorate and explored strategies to enhance essential services and improve infrastructure within the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Shammari stated that the discussions also addressed the challenges that the local government is currently facing. The meeting aimed to develop effective solutions to meet the needs of the citizens in Diyala.

Al-Shammari further highlighted the importance of cooperation between local and central governments, stressing the need to support stability and development in the province. He emphasized the necessity of unifying efforts to improve the service and economic conditions in Diyala Governorate.
