Baghdad: Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, held a meeting with a delegation from the Reconstruction and Development Bloc, led by MP Bahaa al-Araji, to deliberate on ongoing dialogues aimed at fulfilling constitutional obligations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place at al-Maliki’s office, where various political and parliamentary issues were on the agenda. The central focus was on the progress of dialogues intended to complete constitutional requirements.

Both parties acknowledged the necessity of enhancing the oversight and legislative functions of the House of Representatives in the near future. They stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination among the State of Law Coalition, the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, and other parliamentary blocs to enact significant laws that reflect the citizens’ aspirations.
