Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, has extended his congratulations to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate following the successful completion of its council elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Maliki conveyed his message through a post on the (X) platform. He congratulated the new head of the syndicate, Khalid Jassim, along with the newly elected council members, acknowledging their achievement in earning the trust of the journalistic community.

Al-Maliki expressed his hopes for the newly elected leaders to succeed in enhancing the professional work of the union. He emphasized the importance of protecting the message of journalism and its role on a national level.
