Al-Maliki Issues Warning on Coordination Framework Abandonment

Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, issued a warning on Friday against abandoning the coordination framework. In a statement on the (X) platform, al-Maliki emphasized the framework's role as a national political project that has demonstrated its success by supporting the national political process and forming three successive governments. He highlighted this achievement as evidence of the project's ability to manage the current phase and contribute to stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Maliki asserted that there is no justification for abandoning a successful project. He emphasized the framework's commitment to maintaining its founding principles, identity, and leadership. Al-Maliki also acknowledged the potential need for developing work mechanisms or enhancing performance, suggesting that these improvements should align with the framework's natural evolution in response to changing circumstances, without compromising its core essence or identity.
