Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, has issued a call to the government and political factions to present a united front against what he describes as aggression towards the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Maliki used a post on the X platform to voice his concerns, stating that the expansion of military conflict into new areas within Iraq, coupled with attacks on the PMF, represents a clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty. He emphasized that these actions, which target Iraqi forces, headquarters, and prominent figures, are being carried out by Zionist forces with support from the United States.
Al-Maliki further condemned the aggression as unjust and urged the government and political entities to unite against it. He noted that the attack has been met with strong rejection and condemnation from the Iraqi populace, who stand firmly against the targeting of their fellow Iraqis.
