Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, have called for the swift formation of a strong government that fulfills the people’s aspirations and safeguards their future.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Al-Mandalawi’s media office revealed that the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament met with Nouri Al-Maliki on Thursday evening. The meeting was an opportunity for both leaders to exchange congratulations on the successful completion of the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Al-Mandalawi and Al-Maliki highlighted the significance of the popular participation in the recent elections, which they believe reflects the Iraqi people’s faith in their democratic experience. They emphasized the importance of this participation as a testament to the public’s commitment to their constitutional right to change, reform, and build a just and capable state.

The two leaders urged all national forces entrusted by the public to expedite the formation of a strong government.
