Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, met with former Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Allam Ali Al-Kandari, to discuss mechanisms for strengthening parliamentary communication and developing bilateral relations between Iraq and Kuwait. The discussions also touched upon current local developments and regional events.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue through joint technical committees to address outstanding issues. These include maritime border demarcation, security cooperation, and regulating navigation, along with economic issues of mutual interest. They emphasized the commitment of both countries to reaching practical solutions that protect their interests and open new avenues for cooperation, particularly in investment, energy, and land and sea transport.
