Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, has expressed his approval of the recently announced ceasefire in Lebanon.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi conveyed his support through a tweet on the X platform. He praised the international diplomatic efforts that contributed to the ceasefire agreement, highlighting the sacrifices made by martyrs and the resilience of the resistance fighters and the Lebanese people. Al-Mandalawi emphasized that these efforts were crucial in compelling the cessation of aggression and crimes in Lebanon.
Furthermore, Al-Mandalawi underscored the significance of the agreement in promoting peace and stability in the region. He reiterated the call for the international community to enhance its efforts to end the aggression in Gaza and to work towards a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian issue.
