Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi has emphasized Iraq’s initiative to foster positive relations with its Arab neighbors. During a meeting with a Kuwaiti delegation, Al-Mandalawi reiterated Iraq’s commitment to building robust partnerships rooted in societal, cultural, and humanitarian connections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi hosted a Kuwaiti delegation at his residence. The delegation included Fahd Falah bin Jamea, a former member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, and Malfi Muhammad Al-Azmi, the son of the Emir of the Al-Awazem tribe, with the presence of MP Ali Shaddad. Al-Mandalawi highlighted the strategic importance of enhancing ties that serve mutual interests and benefit future generations.

Al-Mandalawi pointed out the necessity of intensifying efforts to boost popular and societal communication. He emphasized that strong international relations are not solely based on political agreements but also on solid human and social connections fostered through direct interaction and collaboration.

The Kuwaiti delegation expressed their admiration for their visit to Iraq, appreciating the warm reception they received. They affirmed their dedication to fortifying fraternal and humanitarian relations with Iraq, aiming to achieve security, stability, and prosperity for both nations.
