Al-Mandalawi Urges Rapid Action from Arab Nations to Address Regional Threats and Enhance Cooperation

GENEVA: Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi called for confronting the dangers facing the Arab nation and taking quick steps to enhance cooperation and communication between Arab councils.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi expressed his gratitude to Ibrahim Bou Ghali, President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, for his prompt response to the call for holding the 37th emergency conference. During the conference, Al-Mandalawi emphasized the importance of unified Arab efforts to address critical issues and confront threats, particularly those arising from the situations in Palestine and Lebanon.

Al-Mandalawi advocated for the creation of an Arab parliamentary delegation from the Arab Parliamentary Union to visit Beirut and Al-Quds. This delegation aims to provide support and liaise with regional and international parliamentary organizations to halt Zionist aggression and propose the establishment of a special committee to be in permanent session for this purpos
e. He also highlighted the urgent need for medical and food relief for the displaced in Gaza and southern Lebanon and supported Iraq’s diplomatic initiatives to prevent the escalation of war.

Furthermore, Al-Mandalawi criticized the global response to the crisis, condemning what he described as the international community’s silence and inaction in the face of Zionist actions, which, according to him, included the assassination of resistance leaders and attacks on civilian infrastructure. He stressed that resistance would lead to victory in Lebanon, Gaza, and Palestine, ultimately resulting in the downfall of the Zionist entity.
