Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi has affirmed the Legislative Authority’s commitment to enacting laws that support and guarantee the rights of the families of martyrs and those who sacrificed their lives.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandlawi received the head of the Martyrs Foundation, Abdul-Ilah Al-Naili, in his office on Monday, along with a number of MPs. The meeting focused on the current conditions of the foundation, the needs of the families of martyrs, and the entitlements they deserve under existing laws.
During the discussion, Al-Mandlawi emphasized the importance of activating the laws, instructions, and decisions related to the families of martyrs to ensure that their constitutional rights are upheld. He highlighted the significance of acknowledging the great sacrifices made by these individuals for the nation’s advancement, pride, and freedom. Furthermore, Al-Mandlawi underscored the necessity of allocating appropriate financial resources to support the families of martyrs, ensuring that their status is duly recognized. He reiterated the legislative authority’s commitment to enacting supportive laws for the families of martyrs and those who have sacrificed their lives.
