Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen al-Mandalawi engaged in discussions with Haider al-Abadi, the head of the al-Nasr Coalition, emphasizing the importance of unified national efforts to shield Iraq from the prevailing dangers and challenges in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Mandalawi’s media office revealed that the meeting took place at his residence on Saturday evening, where al-Abadi and a group of coalition members were present. The discussion centered on the latest political developments within Iraq.

The meeting also served as a platform to exchange condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful. Furthermore, they deliberated on the work of the Council of Representatives, particularly focusing on forthcoming legislation aimed at addressing citizens’ affairs.

The statement highlighted that the conversation extended to the most pressing issues in Iraq and the broader region. Al-Mandalawi and al-Abadi stressed the necessity for all national forces to collaborate in safeguarding Iraq against regional threats and challenges.
