Baghdad: The Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, has affirmed that the resistance movement remains robust and continues to grow stronger following the martyrdom of its leaders. In a recent press statement, Al-Mandlawi expressed condolences to the Arab and Islamic nations, members of the resistance across the globe, and the Hamas movement for the loss of the jihadist leader Yahya Sinwar.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandlawi emphasized the enduring nature of the resistance, stating that the shedding of leaders’ blood unjustly and aggressively in the pursuit of the Palestinian cause underscores the significance of their sacrifices. He reiterated that the resistance is a project that deepens and becomes more entrenched within the nation, with the belief that martyrdom leads to victory and immortality. Al-Mandlawi maintained that such a project does not perish with the loss of its leaders.
The Acting Speaker paid homage to the rich history of jihadist leader Yahy
a Sinwar, who was known for his significant role in the Al-Aqsa Flood and his efforts as a leader of the Palestinian resistance. Sinwar’s life was marked by his time in occupation prisons and his active participation in the resistance until his death, which Al-Mandlawi described as a sacrifice for his religion, land, and people. He remarked that Sinwar’s spirit would continue to inspire and fight alongside his people until the liberation of the land, the restoration of rights, and the lifting of injustice.
