Al-Mandlawi Emphasizes National Duty to Support Iraqi Scientists and Inventors


Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandlawi sponsored the Scientific Conference for Iraqi Inventors and Innovators today in the Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Hall inside the Parliament. The event was organized by the Iraqi Inventors and Innovators Association, which is affiliated with the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference, held under the slogan “Invention of Today… Technology of Tomorrow,” attracted a group of scientists and innovators.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandlawi expressed his happiness at hosting the scientific event within Parliament, bringing together distinguished Iraqi minds. He highlighted that the presence of these national talents reflects Iraq’s resilience and its potential to rise despite various challenges. Al-Mandlawi emphasized that creativity and innovation are essential for building a promising future for the country.



He further stated that supporting scientists, inventors, and innovators is a national duty and a legal and moral responsibility of the state. He acknowledged their fundamental role in Iraq’s scientific and developmental progress, asserting that this support is not merely a favor from the state institutions.



Al-Mandlawi noted that the House of Representatives will continue to be a strong advocate for creative energies. He emphasized that sponsoring the conference within Parliament sends a clear message of the Council’s commitment to supporting this segment. He assured that efforts would persist to enhance cooperation with relevant executive bodies to remove obstacles hindering the progress of inventors and innovators.



He added that the conference serves not only as a scientific gathering but also as a message of hope and awareness, demonstrating Iraq’s capacity to regain its rightful place in development with the necessary support and encouragement. Al-Mandlawi concluded by stating that investing in creative individuals is the greatest investment a nation can make.
