Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi engaged in discussions with the Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council Ammar Al-Hamdani and the Governor of Baghdad Atwan Al-Atwani regarding the capital’s current situation and the enhancement of coordination between the local legislative and executive authorities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the First Deputy Speaker’s Office indicated that Al-Mandalawi hosted Al-Hamdani, Al-Atwani, and several members of the Baghdad Council at his guesthouse. The meeting focused on improving collaboration between legislative and executive bodies at the local level and addressing the service needs of the capital.

The statement further mentioned that Al-Mandalawi congratulated Governor Atwan Al-Atwani for earning the confidence of the Provincial Council and wished him success in his responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of achieving tangible development in Baghdad, particularly through infrastructure development and prioritizing basic services for densely populated areas.

Al-Mandlawi highlighted the legislative authority’s commitment to supporting the local government in Baghdad, aiming to achieve service and administrative stability in the region.
