BAGHDAD: Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi has led an expanded meeting of the Legal Committee to deliberate on crucial legislative reforms. The meeting focused on the Personal Status and General Amnesty Laws, which are set to be discussed during the parliamentary session scheduled for tomorrow. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by the chairman and members of the Legal Committee, as well as several heads of parliamentary blocs and committees. The discussions centered around the key legislative items on the agenda, highlighting the importance of these laws in shaping the legal framework of the country. The Personal Status Law and the General Amnesty Law are pivotal in addressing issues related to family law and granting amnesty under specific conditions, respectively.
