Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed that Iraq pays great attention to pushing relations with France to close and long-term strategic levels.
The media office of the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives stated: “Al-Mandalawi received, today, Monday, the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Dorrell, and his accompanying delegation, and the two sides discussed local conditions, regional developments and a group of files of mutual interest.”
Al-Mandlawi stressed: “Iraq pays great attention to developing relations with France in various fields, and there is a mutual desire between the two sides to push them to close and long-term strategic levels,” pointing to the importance of building multiple partnerships, investment and economic, that serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the region, especially the Zionist aggression against Palestine.
Al-Mandlawi stressed: “The crimes of genoc
ide committed by the occupation army against civilians in the Gaza Strip are unparalleled in history,” calling on European governments to take strict positions to prevent the supply of weapons to the Zionist entity, and to protect international laws by immediately stopping the aggression.
