Al-Mandlawi Urges Regional Dialogue on Security Threats


Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi has called for an urgent, high-level dialogue between the governments and parliaments of regional countries to address threats that jeopardize regional security.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, and his delegation, Al-Mandalawi emphasized Iraq’s interest in strengthening relations with neighboring countries. He highlighted the opportunities for solid companies to invest in Iraq, particularly in developing the energy and electricity sectors, improving infrastructure services, and enhancing economic partnerships to serve mutual interests.



In a statement from his media office, Al-Mandalawi stressed the importance of initiating a high-level dialogue among regional governments and parliaments. He urged collaborative efforts to prevent the expansion of conflicts, deter the Zionist occupation forces from executing their plans, and work collectively to halt genocide in Gaza. Additionally, he condemned ongoing violations of sovereignty in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, calling for concerted action to address these issues.
