GENEVA: Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandlawi has called on Islamic and Arab nations to adopt firm stances against the existential threats to the nation and to curb Zionist recklessness in the Middle East. According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting with Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, on the sidelines of the 149th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Al-Mandlawi discussed recent developments in the region, highlighting the "Zionist terrorist crimes" in Palestine and Lebanon. The talks focused on the pressing need to provide continuous support to both nations and to coordinate parliamentary efforts between Baghdad and Tehran in international forums. The goal is to address critical issues, prevent the escalation into a major war, and sustain pressure to halt Zionist aggression. Additionally, Al-Mandlawi emphasized the importance of delivering medical and food aid to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian and Leb anese peoples.
