Ankara: The Iraqi Embassy in Ankara announced that Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Monday, on an official visit. He is accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, in response to an official invitation from the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmus.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy stated in a statement: “Al-Mashhadani was received upon his arrival at Esenboga Airport by the Chairman of the Turkish-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Muhammad Mufid Aydin, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Ankara, Majid Al-Lajmawi.”

During the visit, the two sides are scheduled to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey, particularly in the field of parliamentary cooperation, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
