Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani has strongly condemned the Zionist plan to seize control of Gaza, urging immediate and decisive global intervention to halt the aggression, lift the siege, and protect Palestinian civilians.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mashhadani expressed his concerns over the ongoing violence in Gaza, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis affecting over two million residents. He described the situation as a “stain on the brow of humanity,” emphasizing the need for truth and justice in response to the suffering of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

In his statement, Al-Mashhadani denounced the announced plans by the Zionist occupation to take full control of the Gaza Strip. He labeled these actions as violations of international laws and conventions, amounting to war crimes and genocide.

Al-Mashhadani criticized the silence of the international community, including the Security Council and the United Nations, holding them responsible for their inaction. He warned that continued silence would imply complicity in the crimes being committed. He called for immediate actions to halt the aggression, protect civilians, and hold the occupation leaders accountable in international courts.

Reaffirming Iraq’s support for Palestinian rights, Al-Mashhadani advocated for the end of the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. He concluded with a message of resilience and hope for the future of Palestine, asserting that despite the ongoing injustice, the occupation will eventually end.
