Ankara: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani has underscored the necessity of bolstering Arab solidarity and activating mechanisms for parliamentary and diplomatic cooperation to address shared interests and tackle ongoing regional challenges.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mashhadani made these remarks during a meeting held in Ankara, Turkey, with the Council of Arab Ambassadors and the Ambassador of the League of Arab States to Turkey, hosted at the Iraqi Embassy. The meeting was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara, Majid al-Lajmawi.
Al-Mashhadani expressed his appreciation for the support Iraq has received from Arab countries throughout various phases, emphasizing the need to enhance Arab solidarity and develop cooperative parliamentary and diplomatic frameworks. He highlighted Iraq’s commitment to fostering robust Arab partnerships based on mutual respect and shared interests, pointing out that Iraq’s stability is intrinsically linked to the broader stability of the region.
