Baghdad: The media office of Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani has refuted claims regarding the existence of an official Spokesperson for al-Mashhadani. This announcement was made on Saturday, emphasizing the absence of any appointed spokesperson for the Speaker or the Iraqi Parliament.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office issued a statement urging both local and international media, as well as social media platforms, to verify their information and refrain from relying on unofficial sources. The statement clarified that any authorized communications are to be disseminated solely through the Parliament’s media department or through Mahmoud al-Mashhadani’s official personal page.

The statement further warned that legal measures will be pursued against any individuals or entities falsely claiming to represent the Parliament Speaker in the media without proper authorization, highlighting that such actions not only violate legal standards but also compromise the integrity of the legislative body.
