Basra: Al-Minaa FC began its preparations for the 2026-2027 football season with its third training session under the guidance of head coach Hussein Abdul Wahid, in anticipation of the start of the Iraqi Stars League.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the club reported that most players participated in the training, except for Abdul Razzaq Qasim, who is joining the team from Al-Shorta. The club is also expecting the arrival of six professional players: Yassin Samia, Diaa Al-Din Al-Juwaini, Malek Miladi, Solomon Udo, Karim Oraibi, and Henrik Bernardo. These players are anticipated to begin arriving in Basra starting Monday, gradually joining the training sessions to complete the squad and continue the preseason preparations.
The administration has expressed renewed confidence in head coach Hussein Abdul Wahid, alongside his assistant coaching staff, which includes Osama Ali and Hussam Ibrahim, goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Salem, and fitness coach Mazen Abdul Sattar.
