Al-Minaa Sports Club Condemns Player Hamid Rashid Al-Taie’s Unexplained Departure

Basra: The port management has expressed its disapproval following the unexpected departure of player Hamid Rashid Al-Taie from Al-Minaa Sports Club, citing the lack of a clear reason for his exit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the administrative body and technical staff of Al-Minaa Sports Club have voiced their condemnation of Hamid Rashid Al-Tai's actions after he left the team's residence without prior notice. The club emphasized that Al-Taie is currently under a binding contract with them for two seasons, with only one season remaining.

The club's statement highlighted that, based on the player's performance last season, they had proposed an offer to renew his contract with an increase of 100% in its value. Despite arriving in Basra and joining the training session on Thursday, August 14, Al-Taie departed the following day without any explanation.

Al-Minaa's management reiterated their surprise at Al-Taie's actions and affirmed that they would be pursuing legal measures to resolve the situation. An official complaint will be submitted to FIFA and the Iraqi Football Association to protect the club's rights and address such actions from players seeking to leave without proper procedure, despite the existing contractual agreements.
