Baghdad: The Al-Mundhiriya border customs center has taken decisive action by returning a shipment of animal feed sorghum back to Iran. The General Authority of Customs determined that the shipment did not meet the required standards for animal consumption, adhering to established customs procedures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the return process was conducted under the guidance and oversight of Thamer Qasim Dawood, the Director General of the General Authority of Customs. A specialized committee at the Al-Mundhiriya Customs Center was responsible for the assessment and subsequent decision, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and regulations.

The Authority detailed that the customs center meticulously followed necessary procedural steps, and the return of the shipment was documented in an official report. This action underscores the center’s commitment to maintaining standards and protecting animal health.
