Al-Mustansiriya University Signs Cooperation Agreement with RUDN University


Baghdad: Al-Mustansiriya University President Safaa Taqi Al-Issawi signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement with RUDN University in Russia, along with a series of memoranda of understanding with presidents of several Russian, international, and Arab universities. These agreements aim to enhance joint cooperation in higher education and scientific research.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the agreements and memoranda of understanding cover fields including medicine, engineering, economics, science, tourism, languages, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. These agreements will contribute to the exchange of academic expertise, curriculum development, and the establishment of joint research projects, in addition to supporting student and faculty exchange programs.



Al-Issawi emphasized that these steps come within the context of Al-Mustansiriya University’s strategy for international academic openness and the pursuit of building effective partnerships with prestigious universities. He emphasized that Al-Mustansiriya University continues to consolidate its presence as a national university with a solid academic standing at the regional and international levels.



For its part, RUDN University welcomed this partnership, praising the level of Al-Mustansiriya University and its commitment to developing higher education in Iraq. RUDN is one of Russia’s leading universities and one of the most important academic institutions with an international character, receiving students from more than 140 countries and offering advanced educational programs in various disciplines.
