Baghdad – Al-Nasr (victory) Coalition welcomed the decision of the Sadrist movement to return to participate in the upcoming elections.

The coalition considered the return in a press release that it is a national impetus towards broad popular participation in the elections.

The coalition called on the people to participate in a wide electoral process to enable reform and change, stressing the necessity of the commitment of the Electoral Commission and the political forces to conduct fair elections according to fair standards, away from employing the capabilities of the state, political money, or the policy of imposing wills.

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced his participation in the upcoming elections.

He called on his followers to participate in the elections to prove that they are the largest bloc, provided they adhere to the election project.
