According to National Iraqi News Agency, the match remained goalless during the first half, with both teams unable to capitalize on their opportunities. However, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya managed to break the deadlock in the second half, scoring the only goal of the match to secure a 1-0 victory.

The defeat leaves Diyala FC in 11th place on the league table, holding 27 points.
