Baghdad State of Law MP Kateh Al-Rikabi confirmed: “The political blocs have confidence in the success of the work of the Electoral Commission and the security services and deterring fraud in the upcoming elections, and there is almost satisfaction from these blocs on the work and procedures of the Commission.”

Al-Rikabi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The integrity of the elections has become a popular demand, which is what the religious authority called for in its last statement, but ensuring that it is not rigged is very difficult at the level of Iraq, even if by a small margin, given that the developed countries, including the United States of America, the results of the recent elections witnessed problems, and therefore we hope that the fraud will not be of a high level.”

He added, “The Electoral Commission announced that it has a mechanism to prevent fraud, and we hope that its procedures will be strong, and that international and local observers have a major role in preventing fraud.”
