Baghdad: The Baghdad Rusafa Police Command has successfully exposed a staged kidnapping case, resulting in the arrest of the individual responsible for the deception.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command disclosed in a press release that they received a report concerning a missing person who had sent a photograph to his family, depicting himself with hands and feet bound. In response, a dedicated team was assembled, and through technical efforts, they managed to locate and apprehend the individual involved.

The press release further explained that, upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused had intentionally bound himself and sent the misleading photo to his family. This act was motivated by ongoing family disputes, with the aim of falsely convincing them that he had been kidnapped. The individual was subsequently taken into custody, and appropriate legal measures have been initiated against him.
