Baghdad: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, expressed his hope that the people of Gaza will enjoy dignity and safety and that humanitarian aid will reach them, with the announcement of a ceasefire and an end to the war.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr shared his thoughts on the X platform, where he stated that after significant international pressure, a truce was declared by "Trump and his stinking terrorist partner." He emphasized the hope that aid would reach the people of Gaza rapidly. However, al-Sadr also voiced concerns regarding potential betrayals by the enemy, including the possibility of resuming terrorist activities, forced mass displacement, and expanding the war. He further mentioned the risk of normalization with certain countries or the implementation of a two-state solution, reiterating his stance that Palestine, from "water to water," should have Holy Quds as its capital. Al-Sadr concluded by stating that there is no covenant or guarantee with the enemy.
