Al-Sadr Urges Media Boycott of Ghaith al-Tamimi

Baghdad: Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, criticized Ghaith al-Tamimi after the latter appeared praising Israel on a Zionist media outlet. Al-Sadr strongly condemned al-Tamimi and called on Iraqi channels to completely cease all dealings with him.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the comments from al-Tamimi have sparked a call from al-Sadr for a media boycott, urging that al-Tamimi be excluded from any future media engagements within Iraq. This move reflects al-Sadr's response to what he perceives as inappropriate alignment with Zionist perspectives.

The Sadrist Movement leader's call for action underscores his influence within Iraq's media landscape, as well as his stance on maintaining a particular narrative regarding Israel. The incident highlights ongoing tensions and sensitivities in the region concerning media portrayals and international relations.
