Kirkuk The head of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee, head of the Turkmen bloc, Arshad Al-Salihi, called on the Iraqi government to monitor any violation of peaceful demonstrators.

He said in a statement that “we fear the fighting”…Calling for reliance on professional competencies instead of sectarian quotas.

He called on everyone to resort to the constitution and respect the right of expression and demonstration, restraint and moderation in statements, and the importance of cooperating with the security forces to avoid altercations, quarrels and collisions. All are Iraqis, and they are the oppressed sons of the Iraqi people. We also call on everyone to preserve public and private property and the actual implementation (to legislate a law that includes the new social contract), and a political system capable of holding the corrupt accountable, after the failure of the political process in some areas.

He called on everyone to give priority to the language of dialogue, and not to allow the clock to be turned back, and we demand the Ministry of Health to form medical committees and provide urgent first aid for the injured, calling on the security forces not to use excessive force against the demonstrators.
