Al-Samarrai and Hammoudi Stress the Need for Partnership and Cooperation in Upcoming Elections

Baghdad: The Head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, accompanied by several alliance leaders, met today, Sunday, with the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq and head of the Abshir Ya Iraq Alliance, Humam Hammoudi, to discuss the latest political developments following the elections and issues related to the next phase.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed "the importance of strengthening dialogue among national forces and unifying efforts to maintain political stability, ensuring the protection of state institutions and serving the citizens, and contributing to moving the political process towards a more balanced and effective path, while emphasizing the necessity of partnership and cooperation in upcoming elections in a way that serves the national interest."

Both sides affirmed that "the next phase requires greater coordination among active forces and support for initiatives that contribute to strengthening stability and consolidating joint action on various national issues."
