Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Generations Gathering, MP Mohammed Saadoun Al-Sayhood, praised the victories of the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in the battle to liberate Mosul, highlighting it as a crucial blow to ISIS terrorism and its allies.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sayhood, in a press statement marking the eighth anniversary of Mosul’s liberation, emphasized that the battle to free Mosul and its surrounding regions from ISIS marked a turning point for Iraq. This victory transitioned the nation from a period of chaos and destruction to an era of construction and development.

He further remarked that the sacrifices made by the martyrs were pivotal in achieving these victories. Their efforts symbolized the rejection of extremism and terrorism, which, he asserted, cannot survive within Iraqi society regardless of the challenges faced.

Al-Sayhood concluded by stating that defending Iraq and protecting national achievements are responsibilities that require broad participation in construction and development, urging support for governmental initiatives in these areas.
