Al-shara: Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara has confirmed that there are advanced discussions taking place regarding a potential security agreement between Syria and Israel, emphasizing that any agreement would be rooted in the 1974 armistice line.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting with an Arab media delegation, President al-Shara expressed his willingness to adopt any agreement or decision that serves the interests of Syria and the region. He highlighted the ongoing advanced discussions concerning a security pact between Damascus and Tel Aviv.

Despite these discussions, the Syrian Foreign Ministry has denied reports circulating about the imminent signing of a security agreement between Syria and Israel on September 25.
