Al-Sharaa: The leader of the Syrian Interim Administration, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, has asserted that the Syrian passport will gain significant global recognition in the coming years, highlighting the urgent need to adopt a state-building mentality and establish institutions that ensure justice for all citizens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sharaa made these remarks during a discussion with activists and human rights advocates. He emphasized the priority of establishing institutions that promote justice and prevent the repetition of past conflicts. "The priority is to build institutions that achieve a good level of justice among people and prevent the recurrence of what happened in the future," he stated.

Al-Sharaa expressed a personal commitment to upholding the rights of the people, declaring, "All the rights of the people are on my neck and on my head from above, and God forbid that I evade anyone's right even if it is my own, but we must work with the mentality of the state." He underscored the distinction between revolutionary and state-building mindsets, noting that "the mind of the revolutionary does not build a state and the mind of the revolution does not build a state."

He further elaborated that while revolution is effective in dismantling regimes through its inherent agitation and reactions, it is not suited for the constructive process of state-building. "The revolution is characterized by agitation, eruption and reactions. It is suitable for removing a regime, but it is not suitable for building a state," he concluded.
