Riyadh: The head of the transitional phase in Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, is set to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Sunday. This visit was reported by Saudi media today, marking a significant development in Syrian-Saudi relations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ahmed al-Sharaa’s visit is anticipated following his recent appointment as the head of the transitional period in Syria. Al-Sharaa is scheduled to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit, underscoring the importance of the discussions that are expected to take place between the two leaders.

The announcement of al-Sharaa’s appointment was made last Wednesday by Hassan Abdul Ghani, the spokesman for the Military Operations Department. This appointment has been acknowledged by Saudi Arabia, with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extending their congratulations to al-Sharaa on his new role in leading the transitional phase in Syria.
