Al-Sudani Affirms Iraq’s Solidarity with Iran Amid Zionist Aggression

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has affirmed Iraq’s solidarity with Iran in light of what he describes as blatant Zionist aggression. In a recent phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, al-Sudani expressed the Iraqi government’s support for Iran, emphasizing the interconnectedness of security and stability in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s commitment to preventing the expansion of the conflict and highlighted the efforts led by the Iraqi government to ensure that the Zionist entity does not violate Iraqi airspace. The Prime Minister also conveyed Iraq’s readiness to provide necessary assistance to Iran, reinforcing solidarity among Islamic nations.

In response, President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to Iraq for its clear opposition to the actions of the Zionist entity. He praised Iraq’s consistent stance against repeated attacks in the region and the crimes committed against the Palestinian people. Pezeshkian underscored the need for Islamic countries to adopt a unified position against such violations of international law, which could potentially impact other Islamic nations.
