Al-Sudani agrees to increase the percentage of women in police academies

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, agreed to increase the percentage of women in police academies.

The Director of the Community Police, in the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Ghaleb Al-Attiyah, said in a televised statement, “Iraq has recorded an increase in domestic violence since the spread of the Corona pandemic, as 1,300 cases of domestic violence against women were recorded during the year 2022,” noting that “169 cases of domestic violence against women were returned a girl who ran away to her parents this year.

“Bullying is part of domestic violence,” he added.

He pointed out that “the Prime Minister agreed to increase the percentage of women in police academies.”
