Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities to support the government’s efforts in completing the implementation of its program.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office said that Al-Sudani received Al-Mashhadani, and during the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in the country. They highlighted the need for integrated work between the two authorities to ensure the successful execution of the government’s agenda, particularly initiatives aimed at improving public services, supporting economic and financial reforms, and promoting sustainable development.

The meeting also addressed recent developments in the region, with both sides underscoring the importance of uniting political forces to support the government in facing various challenges and in maintaining Iraq’s security and stability.

Additionally, the two officials discussed ongoing preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for November. They stressed the importance of ensuring a successful electoral process that truly reflects the aspirations of the Iraqi people for greater stability and development.
