Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) parliamentary bloc have engaged in discussions concerning the internal political situation and the pursuit of fulfilling constitutional requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office released a statement highlighting that Prime Minister al-Sudani met with members of the KDP parliamentary bloc. The meeting was headed by the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Farhad al-Atroushi, and attended by Bahaa al-Araji, head of the Reconstruction and Development parliamentary bloc.

The press release from the Prime Minister’s Media Office indicated that discussions focused on the general situation in the country and regional developments. Both parties emphasized the importance of rejecting any targeting of Iraqi cities and preventing the use of Iraqi territory as a base for launching attacks against other countries.

The meeting underscored the necessity of diligently pursuing the fulfillment of constitutional obligations and highlighted the significance of cooperation between the executive and legislative branches.
