Al-Sudani and Nechirvan Barzani Advocate for Iraq’s Neutrality in Regional Conflicts


Sulaymaniyah: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the importance of maintaining Iraq’s neutrality in ongoing regional conflicts during a meeting in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting, held on Wednesday, involved discussions on the political landscape and key development and economic issues facing the nation. The leaders articulated a shared commitment to enhance coordination and cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, aiming to fortify national unity and advance Iraq’s overarching interests.



The official statement released by the Prime Minister’s media office highlighted the significance of ensuring the constitutional rights of all Iraqi components and fostering collaboration among national forces to sustain the country’s security and stability. The discussions also focused on supporting the federal government’s developmental initiatives across Iraq.
