Al-Sudani Announces Allocation of Serviced Plots for Wounded Security Personnel

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has reaffirmed his commitment to caring for the wounded members of the security services by announcing the allocation of serviced land plots, which are set to be distributed imminently.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister hosted a group of wounded security personnel at an Iftar event during the holy month of Ramadan, where he acknowledged their sacrifices. He praised the contributions of fallen heroes and those injured in the line of duty, emphasizing that the stability Iraq enjoys today is due to their valor. Al-Sudani reiterated that supporting the families of martyrs and wounded personnel remains a government priority, one that cannot be compromised or delayed.

In his address, Al-Sudani reflected on the challenging era of terrorism, asserting that it was a deliberate attempt to destabilize Iraq’s social fabric. He declared that the era of ISIS is over, marking the end of a terrorism chapter that began in 2003. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of documenting the heroic tales of sacrifice for future generations, underscoring the need to address any procedural delays in meeting the needs of wounded personnel.

Al-Sudani directed relevant ministries and security leaders to develop specialized programs to cater to the wounded and ensure their demands are met. He noted that efforts are underway to resolve outstanding benefits related to the wounded, including salaries and other dues, following discussions with the National Retirement Authority.

Confirming imminent progress, Al-Sudani announced that residential plots in serviced areas across Baghdad and various governorates will be distributed to wounded security personnel within three months, following recent project initiations. He credited the sacrifices of security forces with enabling the government to pursue development projects and attract international investment.

Al-Sudani highlighted that foreign investments in Iraq have surpassed $88 billion, with numerous international companies now operating in the stable environment. These investments are aimed at diversifying Iraq’s economy and advancing national development.
